WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IN THIS NEWLY STARTED YEAR?

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IN THIS NEWLY STARTED YEAR? Some of you will think that this is a stupid question. “I have a family and a job. I am also a member of a small church that needs voluntary work from every member. You should rather ask me what I shouldn’t do.” I do understand that there are certain every-day duties that all of us have to do, but many are living like a hamster, going around and around on the same wheel and their lives consist of good and bad routines. Who started the ... (read more)

WELCOME TO A NEW YEAR WITH JESUS IN THE CENTRE!

WELCOME TO A NEW YEAR WITH JESUS IN THE CENTRE! You might during the next days be reading prophesies describing the year to come. Some of them will describe the plans of God for 2019 and others will write about disaster and terrible happenings. You will also be reading about fantastic supernatural happenings that will be part of some Christian’s life. It is always exiting to start the new year by reading this kind of reading. I also read this kind of prophesies given by well-known prophets. I ... (read more)

WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR? In many countries we are now celebrating the season we call Advent. It starts four weeks before Christmas. We are talking about the first Sunday of Advent, the second, the third and the fourth. People are lighting a candle for each Sunday in churches and in their homes. When we have fire on the fourth one, we know that we are very close to Christmas. It seems that we are waiting to celebrate something that happened over 2000 years ago. Christmas is a celebration of the ... (read more)

IT IS ALL INCLUSIVE

IT IS ALL INCLUSIVE.   I recently heard a story that is the reason for this head-line. A couple went abroad to celebrate their 30th anniversary. They had bought a trip with everything included. In the beginning they didn’t know what that really meant, but they understood more and more that everything was included and they took what they had paid for. They were wearing a token on their arms showing that they had the rights for “all inclusive”. They had never done anything like this ... (read more)

GOD LOVES TO SEE HIS CHILDREN HEALTHY.

GOD LOVES TO SEE HIS CHILDREN HEALTHY.   Some people think that they are sick as a punishment from God. I do not believe that. You can read Matthew 7. Jesus is wondering if a father would give his son a stone when he asks for bread or if he would give his son a snake when he asks for fish. That would only happen if the father was mentally sick. Don’t you think that the love of our heavenly Father is much greater? I think so. I believe that God is love and that He has love. We read in ... (read more)

HOW KIND SHOULD WE CHRISTIANS BE?

HOW KIND SHOULD WE CHRISTIANS BE?   The opposite of kind is bad or naughty and Christians should not be either bad nor naughty. The problem is that we define the content of the word kind and bad in different ways. That is what I will write about. When you see the title, you might ask yourself: “What do I think of when I see the word kind or bad?” Some people will say that a kind and good-natured child is one that always is obedient and never protests. Others will describe a kind baby ... (read more)

RESIST THE DEVIL, STEADFAST IN FAITH.

RESIST THE DEVIL, STEADFAST IN FAITH. Part 2 Last time I wrote about the devil’s plans and the result of his plans. The title is to resist the devil and I guess you want to know how you can do that. I will mention a few points. The Holy Spirit can also teach you. If you shall resist the devil, you must be quite sure that it is the devil at work. Then you must know who you are in Christ. You could otherwise fight in your own power. Then you must know the authority that God has given to you in ... (read more)

RESIST THE DEVIL, STEADFAST IN FAITH.

RESIST THE DEVIL, STEADFAST IN FAITH. Part 1 I have lately met people complaining about difficult situations and they say that they cannot do anything about it. That could be right in a very few cases, but the Bible gives solutions most of the time and we can focus on solutions instead of the problems. I’ll refer to two Scriptures: James 4:7 and 1. Peter 5:8+9. It says that we must be awake. I am just now reading a book saying that there is a daily conspiracy against us. This is going on ... (read more)

WE MUST DARE TO TALK ABOUT THE DIFFICULT THINGS, PART 2.

WE MUST DARE TO TALK ABOUT THE DIFFICULT THINGS. Part 2 What do you do when some close relative or friend dies or get into a bad accident? What do you do when somebody close to you get divorced? I have been divorced for more than twenty years, I can say that I have never been so alone as when that happened. I sat there without any income. I had to take care of my two daughters plus a foster son. I will not go into all the emotional problems I had. Some family members refused to have any contact ... (read more)

WE MUST DARE TO ALK ABOUT THE DIFFICULT THINGS, PART 1.

WE MUST DARE TO TALK ABOUT THE DIFFICULT THINGS. Part 1 I do write primarily to Christians, but some of this can also be applied to others as well. I have recently been to a youth meeting and some of them were on the floor confessing sins. They were crying and it was a true repentance. Did I ask them to do this? No, I had just been talking about some difficult things. I had mentioned what is happening through an intercourse. It isn’t only a physical act, but the Bible says that the two become ... (read more)
