THE EASTER OF 2015

THE EASTER OF 2015.     We are in the middle of Easter now. Some is calling it the quiet week. In my homeland, Norway, many people take a long vacation and they go to the mountains or far away to a warmer country. If you come to Norway as a tourist during this time, you might experience Norway as boring and many things are closed due to the holidays. Many are happy to get free from work, but most people forget the reason for celebrating Easter. Why do we celebrate Easter? Before I ... (read more)

HOW DID JESUS TREAT PEOPLE?

HOW DID JESUS TREAT PEOPLE?     Most of you who are reading this page are calling yourself Christians. The name comes from Christ. We are saying that we are followers of Christ. I guess that we want to be more and more like the person we follow. The apostle Paul is saying: “More of Him and less of me.” I believe that many Christians can identify with this saying. Jesus is living with His spirit in us and because of that we have the possibility to become more and more like Him. ... (read more)

HEALING

HEALING.     I haven’t had this as a theme for a very long time, but The Holy Spirit wanted me to take it up again. I might have mentioned it in connection with other themes, but I wanted it as a subject in itself. If one looks at the beginning of the word, it is heal. That must mean that something is supposed to be made whole that has been sick or broken. One doesn’t need healing when you are well and everything is fine. When God created Adam and Eve, they were sound and healthy ... (read more)

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HOLY CALLING AND STIR UP THE GIFT(S) OF GOD IN YOU. PART 2

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HOLY CALLING AND STIR UP THE GIFT(S) OF GOD IN YOU!   Part 2   Last time I wrote about your calling and the gifts and your calling belong together as a theme. God is the One who has called you and He will give you the tools that you need for the calling. The gifts of the Spirit are such tools. They are given to all believers, but are extra important for those who are called into ministry. I referred to Timothy 2 and the first chapter. Paul was writing this letter to ... (read more)

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HOLY CALLING AND STIR UP THE GIFT(S) OF GOD IN YOU!

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HOLY CALLING AND STIR UP THE GIFT(S) OF GOD IN YOU!   Part 1.   I start with 2.Timothy 1. The apostle Paul wrote this letter to his close friend Timothy while he himself was in prison in Rome. Some people think that this is the last letter Paul wrote before he was killed. He loved Timothy and he greeted him with these words: “Grace, mercy and peace from God.” In verse 9 we read: “God has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, ... GOD, THE UNCHANGEABLE ONE

GOD, THE UNCHANGEABLE ONE.     I wrote last time that 2015 would be a year of changes and I wrote that the dark will become darker and the light will become brighter. I also wrote that we should be willing to change our habits and let go of the secure way of living. We must dare to step out of our comfort zone. I stressed the fact that we needed to keep close to Jesus and to be led by The Holy Spirit. Today I want to write about something and someone who is not changeable. He is the ... (read more)

2015 – A YEAR OF CHANGES.

2015 – A YEAR OF CHANGE.   I will pray more about the next year later, but God gave me the word: Changes. It might be for me and it might mean changes in general. I do think both. I do believe that we will see great changes in the year ahead of us. When we look back on 2014 we have seen and heard about more demonic activities than I can remember during my lifetime. Some of the same things might have happened before, but in lesser scale. Only a few days ago, I heard that almost two ... (read more)

A CHILD IS BORN AND A SON IS US GIVEN!

A CHILD IS BORN AND A SON IS US GIVEN!     We are coming very close to the Christmas season now and that is a time for Christians to put Jesus in the center. I am so happy that you came to earth, Jesus and I am so happy that you left the glory in heaven with your Father and came down to us. I do not quite understand how you could change into a little seed entering the womb of Mary, but accept it as a miracle. I am also thankful to Mary for being willing to carry Jesus in her womb in ... HOW KIND SHOULD WE AS CHRISTIANS BE?

HOW KIND SHOULD WE AS CHRISTIANS BE?   A Norwegian politician composed a word “snillisme” meaning a wrong kindness a few years ago. It means that you give and give without any limits and without asking for any kind of responsibilities. I meet this kind of problems quite often and had a talk with a Christian sister today about these problems. I had asked God for two days to give me a topic, but it didn’t come before today and now I have to trust Him to be with me in the ... (read more)

STAY ON THE ROAD!

STAY ON THE ROAD!     Jesus is talking to His disciple Thomas and in John 14:6 He says: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” We Christians should walk on “the Jesus-road.” We have an expression saying that all roads are leading towards Rome, but all roads are not leading to Rome and not to Heaven either, but if we walk on the “Jesus-road”, we will get there. The headline of my writing might indicate that it is easy to fall ... (read more)
