DO WE NEED TO READ THE BIBLE EVERY DAY? I could give two completely different answers to that question. One would be an unconditional yes. The other one would be an unconditional no. Why should we read the Bible every day and why isn’t it necessary? This is my theme for today. When my children were old enough to read, I was teaching them to read the Bible as it was their food. WHO TAKES CARE OF THE SHEEP? I will not primarily write about animals, but will mention some stories about sheep and shepherds and use that as comparisons with human beings. I participate in a prayer group where we pray for leaders in the Body of Christ. Many congregations are lacking shepherds to take care of the members. HOW DO WE REACT WHEN WE ARE TREATED UNFAIRLY? I will not come with some easy solutions. I am in such a situation right now. I need the Lord’s wisdom just as much as you do when you come in such situations. I choose to look at Jesus. How did He react and what would He have done in my situation? WHY DO WE NEED CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING? Part 2 I wrote last time that my highest desire as a counsellor is to make people more like Jesus. Can’t every Christian do that? Every born-again Christian has Jesus living in their spirit and friends and fellow believers can help each other to get more like Jesus, but I would say that the person who is called for counselling, has been equipped for the task. WHY DO WE NEED CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING? In other languages we have words for Christian counselling that makes it clear that we take care of the soul. I want to remind you of the fact that we are spirit, soul and body. The spirit is born by God and it is pure, righteous and worthy to go to heaven. It has no sin, demons, sicknesses or anything else coming from the enemy. Philippians 2:12 says that we should work out on our soul’s salvation. Ephesians 2:8 is saying that we are saved by grace. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO DURING EASTER? I grew up in Norway and Easter started Saturday before Palm Sunday. From that day to Tuesday after Easter, Norway was more or less closed. Only a few people worked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Maundy Thursday, but many were on vacation. WE ARE CALLED TO BLESS!

WE ARE CALLED TO BLESS! We need to understand how much we are blessed before we start blessing others. We may start with Ephesians 1:3 where we read that we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. It continues to say that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. We have received the right to be the children of God.
