DO YOU KNOW HOW TO WIN THE WAR?

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO WIN THE WAR?

Part 1

I am not writing to you participating in the war in Ukraine nor in Israel or in any other war in the world. Wars are going on in many places in the world and many are suffering enormously because of that. I am a war-child from the second world-war and I can therefore understand how wars can influence generations afterwards. I will not write about a military war, but the spiritual one that all Christians are part of. Many Christians are blind for its reality and many people are destroyed in lack of knowledge. We read about that in Hosea 4:6. That is the reason for writing about some of the teaching that the Lord has given me and some of my experiences.

Many people are wondering why God allows wars and all its destruction to happen. How can He be good? When Adam and Eve sinned, they opened up for the devil and the devil got to be the ruler over the earth. The devil tempted Jesus by taking Him up to the top of a mountain and he said that he could give the power and the glory over the earth to whomever he wishes. They had to worship him first. Jesus answered him by saying: “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.” Whenever the devil came with some temptations, Jesus always answered the same way: It is written. The Word of God is one of the most important weapons we have in fighting the devil.

Our lack of knowledge about the Word, might give the devil the upper hand.

The Word of God is our daily food. It shows us what Jesus has done for us. It describes God as the Creator and also our Father. It shows us what kind of relationship we should have to God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and other people. It shows us all the promises and the weapons we have received in the war against the devil. The Bible is also much more.

Many Christians are lazy in their Bible-reading, but they wonder why they have so many attacks. Open your Bible and say like Jesus: It is written!

Maybe you read the Word, but do you do what the Word is saying? I want to quote from the book of James 1:22-26: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror, for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

In order to have success, you must not only hear the Word, but do it

I want to quote another word to help you understand the importance of the Word and how to resist the devil and succeed in life. That is from psalm 1:1-4: “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planed by the rivers of water, That brings forth its frit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” I want to emphasize the word prosper. If you are not prosperous, you might check yourself. Do you follow the instruction of the Word or do you accuse someone else for doing something wrong? Some people are always accusing someone else and another group is always accusing oneself. Both of these things might be wrong. Ask The Holy Spirit and check with the answer book, the Bible.

Do you live in a country that is called a Christian country because it isn’t a Muslim country or are you born again and have Jesus on the inside of you? If you are born again, you have received a new nature and Jesus has made you clean and righteous, ready for heaven. If Jesus lives inside of you, He has already conquered the devil on the Cross. Follow me to the Colossians 2:14+15:”He has wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross, having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Jesus won a victory over the devil on the cross, but the devil is still alive and he is not thrown into the pit of fire. I think that he is more active than ever before since he knows that his time is getting shorter.

We Christians must learn to resist the devil and have victory over him.

Some Christians live like the ostrich and dig their heads into the sand and pretend that everything is fine and they say: “We will live in peace. The Lord has conquered the devil and we are just waiting for His return.” What do you do when sickness is knocking on your door, your firm goes bankrupt and your wife wants a divorce? Some dig their head even deeper into the sand, but most people are forced to face reality and to do something about the situation. God is not sending sicknesses nor divorce. That comes from another source. Isiaha 53:4+5 that we are healed in the wounds of Jesus. 1.Peter 2:24 is repeating that.

Jesus has taken our sins and our sicknesses.

What are we doing with the things Jesus won on the cross? I will continue next time.

LIVE IN THE WORD! IT HELPS YOU TO LIVE IN VICTORY!
