THANK YOU, DEAR JESUS.

THANK YOU, DEAR JESUS! I am writing so many Christmas letters to family and friends and letters and cards are sent to many countries in the world, but what about you Jesus? I do not think that I ever wrote to you Jesus, but it is high time to do so. I have only good things to thank you for and I must start by asking for forgiveness for the fact that I do not thank you enough. Forgive my ingratitude. Thank You Jesus for allowing me to be born into a family believing in you and in a country where ... (read more)

WHAT KIND OF EXPECTATIONS DO YOU HAVE?

WHAT KIND OF EXPECTATIONS DO YOU HAVE?   In many countries we are now entering a time of advent. It is a time of preparation for Christmas, a time of expectations. I will also mention some expectations in general. I believe that we often get what we expect. That goes for both the negative and the positive. Expectations are somehow connected with faith. Sometimes we make a mistake and we get very surprised and happy about what we get and other times we get very disappointed. You might say: ... (read more)

DO NOT GET BURNT OUT!

DO NOT GET BURNT-OUT!   We use this expression when we have done too much and one is totally worn out. We might also say that somebody has hit the wall. This describes a situation when we really can’t do more. It’s enough. Does God want us to hit the wall? No, He has never given us yokes that are so heavy that we hit the wall. “But I have worked for a Christian organization or I have worked for my church”, some of you might say. That doesn’t convince me. You ... (read more)

THE IMPORTANCE OF WORDS.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WORDS.   I know that I have written quite a bit about that in different connections, but I write a separate theme about it now. This is a theme that The Holy Spirit often brings me back to. We can go back to the very beginning. The third verse in the Bible goes like this: “God said: Let there be light; and there was light.” In the sixth verse God said that it should be a firmament in the midst of the waters and that should divide the waters from the ... NOTHING CAN SEPERATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD.

NOTHING CAN SEPERATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD.   The text is taken from Romans 8:35 and the rest of the chapter. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which ... WE ARE IN THE WORLD, BUT NOT OF THE WORLD.

WE ARE IN THE WORLD, BUT NOT OF THE WORLD.   Some people think that they have so many problems or they might think that so many bad things are happening that they desire to get away, far away. Some people desire to leave this world and the suicidal statistics are quite high, especially among the youth. Others turn their attention towards heaven and want to go home to God. Both categories desire to run away from the present. I am thinking about the Christians when I say that we are in the ... (read more)

WHAT ARE MY PRIORITIES WHEN IT COMES TO TIME AND MONEY?

WHAT ARE MY PRIORITIES WHEN IT COMES TO TIME AND MONEY?   This theme is about our focus. What is important to us and what priorities are we making? That really differs from person to person, from family to family and also from different cultures and religious groups. We are also having a variety of more factors as well concerning our choices. Yes, that’s what it is all about, our choices. You might protest and say that you have other people deciding over your choices. If you are an adult ... (read more)

ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THE WEDDING?

ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THE WEDDING?   I can hear some of you protesting, saying: I am not going to get married. No, maybe you are alone and you are happy about that or you are desperately longing for a partner, but have none. Others are already married and have no thoughts of a second one. It isn’t really an earthly wedding I am thinking about, but the heavenly wedding, the one I think is coming soon. I will compare it with the earthly one and I might mention some points that should be in ... (read more)

JESUS CONQUERED DEATH.

JESUS CONQUERED DEATH!   Blessed Easter! Many, many countries are celebrating Easter this weekend when this writing is published. Some countries are celebrating a little later. It really doesn’t matter when you celebrate Easter, but that you celebrate the most important event in history. Many people take a vacation in the mountains to go skiing during Easter holidays in my country and many of them could not care less about the content of Easter. When I was a child, I lived in a home ... (read more)

YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE.

YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE.   This title is taken from the prayer: “Our Father”. It continues to say: “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” I believe that God wants heaven to come down to earth or as it is in heaven. We know that there is no devil in heaven and therefore no sin, nor sickness, nor any sorrow. The devil is very active on earth these days and he has not been thrown into the lake of fire yet. I want to refer to some Scriptures speaking about the ... (read more)
