WHAT KIND OF THOUGHTS DO YOU HAVE FOR 2024?

WHAT KIND OF THOUGHTS DO YOU HAVE FOR 2024?

I will not tell you what you should think, nor will I predict the happenings of this year. I might mention certain things that emphasize the time, but there will be no sure answer.

I believe that your thoughts are circling around different topics dependent on where you live, if you live in a family or if you are alone. It is also dependent on age, health and economy. It is also dependent on what you believe in and on whom you believe and trust. Politics might also decide your thoughts. In some countries the leaders brainwash their inhabitants. If you think that your leaders speak the truth, you will think and act accordingly.

Children usually think about totally different things than their parents. We must not forget that children often listen to what the adults are saying. Think about that if you discuss things that are scary. Children might only understand a little about what is said and they either add to the story or withdraw. They might even make their own stories. Children should become safe and we must be careful so we do not create fear in them.

The Lord tells us to throw our worries on Him, but quite a few Christians lack sleep because of worries. They carry worries they should not and they try to find solutions, but the Lord offers them help and the solutions.

Are looking at 2024 with worries and fear or do you look at it with joy and gratitude? Are you focusing on the things you lack or are you thankful for the things you have? Our thoughts guide our focus and our focus guides our thoughts.

Some people sit in front of the television for hours every day. They must listen to all the news and maybe some series and they might even say no to some invitations since the television is so important. Their thoughts are formed by what they have seen and heard on the television. Words are creative and one should be careful to what one should lend one’s ears to. Many are thinking that what the media says is the truth. That is unfortunately not right.

Do not allow your thoughts to be guided by media.

How much are your thoughts influenced by what you hear and what others are saying or what you read? How much are your thoughts influenced by the Word

of God? In psalm 1 we read that we will not succeed if we follow the advice of the lawless and in psalm 32:8 the Lord says that He will instruct us and guide us in the way we should go. Have you asked the Lord which plans He has for you this year? Do you believe that what happens, happens? I do not believe in fate. I do not know everything that will take place this year, but the Lord has already shown me certain things and those things made me happy. Some things need quite a lot of planning and I am glad God spoke so early in the year. I recommend that you take your calendar and start praying over it and ask Him if there are some things that you need to start planning already now? There might be times when you should do this together with your family. When we read the Bible, we see that God plans everything in detail. When the temple was supposed to be made, He gave instructions about building material and all the different colors. Some people live like life is guided by fate. God is a God of order. If there is chaos, we know that the devil has a finger involved in it. Some people think that chaos is freedom, but that is not right. A society without rules and regulations is anarchy.

Have you set some goals for this year? I am not talking about the promises that you are making around New Year that will fail. I am talking about realistic goals that you by the help of the Holy Spirit might obtain. Some people are driven by unrealistic dreams and they are constantly disappointed and sometimes even angry at God, but they might have been driven by other spirits or some wrong motives. The Holy Spirit wants you to live a life in balance. If not, you might get sick. God rested one day a week and we also need to rest. We should read the Bible and pray, but we also need to do some fun things that give us joy and energy. The content might be different from person to person. If you only work, you might get burned out and that is not the purpose of God. If you only go to church, you might neglect your wife and children.

                                      God wants balance.

Some Christians forget that God is good and He wants His children to be well. He wants healthy, strong and happy children. You must therefore do healthy things for your body, eat a balanced diet and do things that cause you to laugh and give you joy and energy.

DO NOT LIVE A LIFE AT RANDOM THIS YEAR, BUT TAKE THE HAND OF GOD AND ALLOW HIM TO GUIDE YOU.
