Sermons 2014

2015 – A YEAR OF CHANGES.

2015 – A YEAR OF CHANGE.   I will pray more about the next year later, but God gave me the word: Changes. It might be for me and it might mean changes in general. I do think both. I do believe that we will see great changes in the year ahead of us. When we look back on 2014 we have seen and heard about more demonic activities than I can remember during my lifetime. Some of the same things might have happened before, but in lesser scale. Only a few days ago, I heard that almost two ... (read more)

A CHILD IS BORN AND A SON IS US GIVEN!

A CHILD IS BORN AND A SON IS US GIVEN!     We are coming very close to the Christmas season now and that is a time for Christians to put Jesus in the center. I am so happy that you came to earth, Jesus and I am so happy that you left the glory in heaven with your Father and came down to us. I do not quite understand how you could change into a little seed entering the womb of Mary, but accept it as a miracle. I am also thankful to Mary for being willing to carry Jesus in her womb in ... HOW KIND SHOULD WE AS CHRISTIANS BE?

HOW KIND SHOULD WE AS CHRISTIANS BE?   A Norwegian politician composed a word “snillisme” meaning a wrong kindness a few years ago. It means that you give and give without any limits and without asking for any kind of responsibilities. I meet this kind of problems quite often and had a talk with a Christian sister today about these problems. I had asked God for two days to give me a topic, but it didn’t come before today and now I have to trust Him to be with me in the ... (read more)

STAY ON THE ROAD!

STAY ON THE ROAD!     Jesus is talking to His disciple Thomas and in John 14:6 He says: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” We Christians should walk on “the Jesus-road.” We have an expression saying that all roads are leading towards Rome, but all roads are not leading to Rome and not to Heaven either, but if we walk on the “Jesus-road”, we will get there. The headline of my writing might indicate that it is easy to fall ... (read more)

WASH EACH OTHER’S FEET!

WASH EACH OTHER’S FEET!     I think I have written something about this before, but it is not wrong to remind each other of the heart of a servant. I will start by referring to the story when Jesus washed the feet of the disciples. I am reading from the Gospel of John this time, the 13th chapter. It was just before celebrating Easter and Jesus was together with His disciples eating. Jesus knew that His time was soon to come. He knew that He had come from God and would soon return to ... ARISE AND SHINE!

ARISE AND SHINE!     I am now coming with a sermon since there has been a lot of teaching. The headline is coming from Isaiah 60. The gloom of fall is now coming over the Nordic countries and it can become quite dark before the snow is coming. One has to be careful in order to avoid depression and one must allow the light living in us to shine inward and outward. Isaiah 60 begins like this: “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. ”For ... (read more)

DIE TO YOURSELF AND LIVE FOR JESUS

DIE TO YOURSELF AND LIVE FOR JESUS. Many people are talking about the wrong processes of dying. I asked the Lord what I should write about and I really think that dying and living was the theme. I am totally dependent on the Holy Spirit since this is a difficult theme. We can start with John 12:20-27. The headline in my Bible is: The grain of wheat which dies and bears much fruit. Jesus is the best example of this headline. He stripped Himself of every personal desire. He left the glory in ... (read more)

CHRIST CRUCIFIED, DEAD AND BURIED. CHRIST THE RISEN ONE.

CHRIST CRUCIFIED, DEAD AND BURIED. CHRIST THE RISEN ONE!     We are in the middle of Easter when this comes out. Easter is in my opinion the most important holiday. At the same time we must remember that without Christmas, there wouldn’t be any Easter. The most important man in history was born then. I do not want to minimize Pentecost either since we would have been very helpless without the support of The Holy Spirit. I would still say that Easter is my holiday. Easter is a ... (read more)

DO YOU HAVE A GOLDEN CALF AND WHAT DO YOU DO WITH IT?

DO YOU HAVE A GOLDEN CALF AND WHAT DO YOU DO WITH IT?     We can right away turn to Exodus chapter 32. The headline is called: The golden calf. Moses was on the mount of Sinai and received the Ten Commandments. He also received a lot of other instructions about sacrifices, how the tabernacle should be built and a lot of other rules and instructions. The people started mourning and thought that Moses was gone too long. They got impatient and gathered around the brother, Aron. The ... (read more)
