WASH EACH OTHER’S FEET!

WASH EACH OTHER’S FEET!     I think I have written something about this before, but it is not wrong to remind each other of the heart of a servant. I will start by referring to the story when Jesus washed the feet of the disciples. I am reading from the Gospel of John this time, the 13th chapter. It was just before celebrating Easter and Jesus was together with His disciples eating. Jesus knew that His time was soon to come. He knew that He had come from God and would soon return to ... ARISE AND SHINE!

ARISE AND SHINE!     I am now coming with a sermon since there has been a lot of teaching. The headline is coming from Isaiah 60. The gloom of fall is now coming over the Nordic countries and it can become quite dark before the snow is coming. One has to be careful in order to avoid depression and one must allow the light living in us to shine inward and outward. Isaiah 60 begins like this: “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. ”For ... (read more)

HOW MUCH ENERGY DO YOU USE TO DEFEND YOURSELF? PART 3

HOW MUCH ENERGY DO YOU USE TO DEFEND YOURSELF?   Part 3   I do know that what I am writing about defense-mechanisms is only an introduction to this theme. The purpose is that you should be more aware of your own reaction patterns. I ended last writing by explain how we go back to an earlier stage in our development when we want attention or meet certain difficulties. The Bible says that we should become like children, but it doesn’t say that we should become childish. I ... (read more)

HOW MUCH ENERGY DO YOU USE TO DEFEND YOURSELF – PART 2

HOW MUCH ENERGY DO YOU USE TO DEFEND YOURSELF? Part 2 Has The Holy Spirit shown you something you need help to change since last writing? I really hope so. We should all be in a process of sanctification. God has shown me several things. We must never think that we are there where we should be. God doesn’t give up on us and nor should we. I will continue to write about rationalization. This time I will mention prejudices. If we didn’t receive the thing we wished for, we might say that the ... (read more)

HOW MUCH ENERGY DO YOU USE TO DEFEND YOURSELF?

HOW MUCH ENERGY DO YOU USE TO DEFEND YOURSELF? Part 1 I really haven’t heard anybody preaching on this theme and I think that you also wonder what I am going to write about now. You know that I am making myself dependent on The Holy Spirit so I am not quite sure what we will be reading either. I am expecting help from The Helper. I will be writing quite a lot about the soul, but quite a few of our reactions come from lack of trust in God and lack of knowledge of who we are in Christ. Both ... (read more)

BUILD THE KINDOM OF GOD HERE ON EARTH -PART 3

BUILD THE KINGDOM OF GOD HERE ON EARTH! Part 3 I closed last chapter by suggesting that you make a solid foundation. It should be built on the Word of God and the teachings of the apostles and the prophets. We know that if the foundation isn’t solid and dense, the entire house can fall together. It seems like some individuals as well as churches can be successful in spite of the fact that the façade is hiding both lies and sins. Lying is also sinful. The Bible says that you shouldn’t lie. ... (read more)

BUILD THE KINGDOM OF GOD HERE ON EARTH – PART 2

BUILD THE KINGDOM OF GOD HERE ON EARTH! Part 2 I was finishing my last writing by talking about relationships. God’s kingdom is built on relationships. The first relationship was between a man and God and then it continued with the relationship between a man and a woman and their relationship with God. An intimate relationship between a man and a woman created children. We then hear about the relationship between parents and children and then between brothers and sisters. Jealousy came in ... Build the kingdom of God here on earth

BUILD THE KINGDOM OF GOD HERE ON EARTH! Part 1 Why do we Christians live here on earth when it is much better to come to heaven? The apostle Paul also asked himself the same question, but he chose to stay here since he knew that God needed him here. What would this world look like without a single Christian here? The devil would rule alone then and the world would be full of evil and darkness. We are called to rule and reign. When God created Adam and Eve, He gave them an assignment. They ... (read more)

DIE TO YOURSELF AND LIVE FOR JESUS

DIE TO YOURSELF AND LIVE FOR JESUS. Many people are talking about the wrong processes of dying. I asked the Lord what I should write about and I really think that dying and living was the theme. I am totally dependent on the Holy Spirit since this is a difficult theme. We can start with John 12:20-27. The headline in my Bible is: The grain of wheat which dies and bears much fruit. Jesus is the best example of this headline. He stripped Himself of every personal desire. He left the glory in ... (read more)

JOSEPH – WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THIS STORY?

JOSEPH – WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THIS STORY?     The story about Joseph, the son of Jacob, starts I Genesis 37 and he dies in the 50th chapter. I was recently watching an American film about Joseph. It was made like a theater with living animals, song and dance. It was so alive and I learned more than before. I will retell the story and mention some thoughts that I get when I read this story from the Bible.   Jacob had twelve sons with different wives. Joseph and Benjamin had ... (read more)
