HOW DID GOD LOOK AT A HUMAN BEING BEFORE THE FALL OF MAN AND WHAT HAPPENED AFTERWARDS?

HOW DID GOD LOOK AT A HUMAN BEING BEFORE THE FALL OF MAN AND WHAT HAPPENED AFTERWARDS?

We can read how God created heaven and earth, plants and animals and everything living in the water. It started by God saying:” Let there be light!” and there was light. I think it is quite fascinating that words are creating the things to be. That says something about the power in the words of God. They have the same creative power today. In Genesis 1:27 we read that God created man in His image. He created them man and women. God was pleased with everything that He created. I think that it is quite amazing that we are created in His image. We must have some things in common then. God is three and still one. We are also three, spirit, soul and body. Adam was created first. He was formed by the dust of the earth and then God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being. The woman was formed by one of the ribs of Adam. It was filled with flesh and formed into a woman. God blessed them both and said: “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.” (Genesis 1:28+29)

God wants us to be fruitful, increase and reign.

God wants us to increase by giving birth to children. The Bible says that children are a blessing, but I think we should multiply in all areas of our lives and not only by getting more children. Our lives should be successful. When God created the human beings, they were without sin. They were totally harmonious. I have watched a movie about the creation and Adam and Eve were so happy in the beginning. They enjoyed everything created including their relationship. They loved the Lord and they were constantly together with Him. They talked together and the Lord taught Adam and Eve things and they listened. They could eat of the fruits of every tree in the garden except for one tree. There was never a quarrel in the Garden of Eden.

I have asked God what kind of thoughts He had when He created men. He said that He thought of the man as the provider and the one to take the strongest responsibility for the family. The woman is biologically created as the one to receive. She should receive the love from her husband and they should both live in harmony and love each other. She is created to bear children and to breast-feed the new-born baby. Together they should love their children and also teach them to love the Lord. The fall of man came so quickly after the creation of men, that we can hardly think of a world without sin, a world where there was no need to teach the children what is right and wrong.

Eve was tempted by the snake to eat the forbidden fruit and she tempted her husband to do the same. Their eyes were opened and they discovered that they were naked. Adam and Eve had a close confidential relationship with the Lord before, but all of a sudden fear broke that. They both blamed somebody else for being disobedient, Eve blamed the snake and Adam blamed Eve.

Security and trust were changed with fear and shame.

Disobedience had entered humanity and they were longer sinless. The Lord drove them out of the Garden of Eden and cherubim with flaming swords guarded the way to the tree of life, the one they had eaten of. The result was that the earth came under the rule of Satan. This is a very important truth that many Christians as well as non-believers do not understand. They think that God is the sovereign ruler over the earth. You can read all about these things in the first chapters of Genesis. God wasn’t gone, but sin had entered and broken the close relationship between God and man. God hates sin and that stood in the way. No sacrifice could take the sin away before Jesus became the perfect sacrifice, carrying all our sins and reopening the way to the Father. We will meet many in Heaven, living in the time before Jesus came to earth. The Bible says that the graves were opened when Jesus had fulfilled His task on the Cross. It is not you and I that will decide how God would judge the righteous and the unrighteous. After Christ, the Bible says that those who call upon the Lord, shall be saved. Romans 10:9+10 write this: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” These two verses are often used when one prays with someone for salvation.

Did God change or did man change when he fell in sin?

God doesn’t change. He is love and He is righteous. That’s why sin creates consequences. It is written that the wage of sin is death. (Rom.6:23) God lost His sovereign rule over the earth when sin entered and that’s why it looks like it does. We Christians can take back everything that came under the power of the devil since Jesus broke the power of the devil and Jesus lives in us. The close relationship to the Father was broken, but we Christians can today come all the way to the Father since Jesus opened the way with His blood.

We do not need to read many chapters in the Bible before we see the consequences of sin. Envy came in and Cain killed his brother Abel. The consequence of sin is really death. The sins became so big and so many that God regretted that He created man. We know of the story of Noah, building the arch. He was working on this for years and was mocked. Noah warned the people and told them to repent and turn to God. I feel that we are doing the same today, but many were not listening then nor do they do today. God saved Noah, his wife and their sons with their wives. They were told to take a male and a female of every living creature with them in the arch. God sent a flood covering the entire earth. The people had been warned, but they didn’t listen.

God had no need to punish before sin entered the world.

It looked like God was surprised by the greatness of sin and its consequences. He, Himself was sinless and knew nothing about sin. This is a strange world to Him since Heaven is perfect. He was longing for the close relationship He had with Adam and Eve and He is very happy that this was restored through Christ. You can read Luke 15 and see how the father was longing for his son who had gone astray. God is longing for every man on earth to come back to Him. When we come to Him, there is a great party. It is written that there is great joy in heaven when a sinner is returning home.

God is a good God and he has given us everything in Jesus Christ.

We read in Ephesians1:3 that He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ. It doesn’t say some, but all. When Jesus was here on earth, He healed all those who were sick. (Matt.8:16) He is treating everybody alike. We have a lot of promises, but so often we forget them and confess what the devil does instead. Let us receive all what God wants to give us in His love.

THANK YOU JESUS THAT YOU RESTORED THE BROKEN CONNECTION WITH GOD!
