SHALL YOU OR GOD FIX THE PROBLEM?

SHALL YOU OR GOD FIX THE PROBLEM?

I am asking a question that do not have clear answers. It depends on the situation, and on what the Word of God is saying about the matter.

I want to start with a story told by John Bevere many years ago here in Uppsala. People had been lying about him within his own church as well as abroad and some rumours had been spreading to other continents. He was very upset, and he wanted the truth about him to be clarified. He sat down with pen and many sheets of paper, and he wanted to write to many people, both to those making up the lies and those that had received them. At that moment he got a vision. He saw God with his hands bound on His back. John asked God what the vision should mean. He got following answer: “I cannot do anything as long as you shall do everything yourself.” He put down his pen and the sheets, and he turned over the problems to God who is a righteous God. John would most likely have been writing in anger and from a wounded spirit. We do read in Titus 2:15 that we should not allow ourselves to be despised nor to be stepped on. God doesn’t want His children to be treated that way so we have to know when we should act and when God should intervene on our behalf.

I do not have a clear answer for when I should set a boundary or when we should leave everything to God. I will just come with some thoughts going back and forth.

I have also been a target for false rumours both from church-leaders and from praying women. Some things are old, but some are quite new. I get quite sad and sometimes I feel very helpless when these things happen. All the rumours have been against God’s calling. God has therefore said that as long as I do the things He has asked me to do, they attack Him, and not me. Sometimes it happens because of envy. The first thing that I do when I hear what is said, is to ask God if there is any truth in what has been said. If the Lord says that it comes from the enemy, I start forgiving the persons talking bad about me. I sometimes have to do that many times before the pain is gone and the emotions are healed. It once happened through a close friend calling herself for prophet. In that case I forgave, but broke the relationship since she didn’t know what came from God or the devil. I blessed the person. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood. (Ephesian 6)

I have been led to deal with rumours in different ways. To forgive is always the first step. Once I went to the pastor of the church since it had happened in his church. Friends are sometimes trying to stop rumours. God has sometimes stopped me from confronting the person saying that person would start an argument. Long-time discussions seldom lead to anything positive.

I say that I have forgiven, but sometimes I have a difficult time to let go of the false accusations, and I might continue to talk about even if I say that I have forgiven. I recently decided to let go of some pain and to leave everything I had that was unfair to the righteous God. He loves me and that is the most important. That is so much more important than what others are thinking. I received several answers to prayers only a few days after I did this. I can even see the possibilities of solutions. I have also broken a curse of false accusations.

I do believe that there are times when we should confront the person we think has something against us. We read in Matthew 5 that we should wait to give money in the church till we have gone to the person we think have something against us. I believe that there are times when I have been too coward or afraid to do so. There are also times when I know that the opposition comes from a Jezabel spirit.

As you read, you see that I do not have a clear answer to you being treated in an unjust way. We must never forget that God is a righteous God and He is always for us.

I mentioned that I once had to brake a curse of false accusations. In your family there might be other curses. If you feel that you are treated in an unfair way when it comes to money, your family might have a curse of poverty. Jesus gave us the authority to brake curses. He broke them on the Cross.

Kenneth Hagin had once a talk with Jesus. The sad thing was that a monkey disturbed him, and he couldn’t hear what Jesus was saying. Hagin asked Jesus to get rid of the monkey, but Jesus said that Kenneth Hagin should do that. That was his duty.

Jesus carried our sicknesses on the Cross, and He has given us His authority. We are supposed to speak to the mountain and take authority over every knowledge that is against the knowledge of God. We are supposed to command sicknesses and other problems to disappear. I do not believe that we use this authority enough. Some people say that it doesn’t work, but it says that we have to do it in faith, in our faith in God who says that nothing is impossible for Him. Nothing is impossible for the believer either. As children of God, we have authority over the devil and the Bible says that we should resist the devil, and he will flee from us. (James 4:7)

As a Christian we are part of an army, but we are also children trusting in our heavenly Father.

ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEN TO ACT AS A SOLDIER AND WHEN TO FUNCTION AS A CHILD OF GOD THE ALMIGHTY!
