February 8th THE SOUL What is the Soul? The soul consists of three parts: THE WILL THE MIND (our thoughts) OUR EMOTIONS These three parts are not to be found in one particular Bible-verse, but we are many with the same revelation. January 28th THE SPIRIT I mentioned in the introduction that God is Three and still He is One. He has created us in His image and every human being consists therefore of three parts. January 18th INTRODUCTION: God has asked me to share with you my knowledge about spirit, soul and body. When you look at different translations of the Bible, there is a certain confusion between soul and spirit. This also exists in many of the songs we sing. October 18th Last time I wrote about the gifts of the Spirit. This time I want to write about the unity of the Spirit within the Body of Christ. We read 1.Cor.12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body- whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free- and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” We can compare the Body of Christ with our natural body. Part 6 I wrote about the fruits of the Spirit and the works of the flesh last time. This time we look at the gifts. I will mainly stay in Rom. 12 and 1.Cor.12+14. In Rom.12:11 it says that we should be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. We are one body, but the body consists of many parts. Each part has a special function. September 28th Part 5 I completed last chapter by telling how the Holy Spirit came to the house of Cornelius and to us gentiles. We will continue to read the Acts. We start with Acts 11:28. Some prophets had come from Jerusalem to Antioch. One of them was named Agabus. The Spirit showed him that there would come a great famine over the whole world. September 18th Part 4 This time I will go through the Acts, but before that I will write a little about the last days of Jesus here on this earth. Jesus died and rose again on the third day. He carried all our sins, broke all the curses of the devil and by His stripes we are healed. (Is.53:4+5) Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. He was with them several times. September 8th Part 3 Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. An angel came and told some shepherds on the field about the birth of Jesus. The place was filled with a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Every boy who was eight days old should be circumcised according to the laws of Moses. August 28th Part 2 I will continue with examples from the Old Covenant. I start with Nehemiah. He was called by God to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. In chapter 9 he talks about the time they had in the desert. He talks to God and says in verse 20: “You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, And did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, And gave them water for their thirst. ” I used last times many examples to show that the Spirit came upon people and they prophesied. ...
