THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
I am now moving into a theme that is not very light nor easy, but it is written a lot about it in the Bible. The headline is taken from the Letter to the Galatians chapter 3:11. I would also recommend you to study chapter three in the Letter to the Romans. We read in Romans 3:20 “Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. No human being has lived a sinless life except for Jesus. He became the sacrifice for all the sins of the world. We can thank Jesus for His blood that has cleansed us who believe in Him. In verse 31 it was raised a question if we make void the law through faith. The answer is that we establish the law.
Who is just? No one is just or righteous in their own power, but through Jesus Christ. When we receive Jesus as our Savour, we are called children of God. We read in 1.John 5:18 that whoever is born of God does not sin. Some people interpret that by saying that a child of God cannot sin, but that is not true. We cannot sin in our born again spirit, but we read in Philippians 2:12 that we should work on the salvation of our soul. Our soul is not totally saved, but our spirit. We also read in 1.John:9 that if we sin, we should confess our sins, and God is faithful and just and He forgives us our sins.
I am often calling the righteousness of God for our white wedding gown or wedding cloths. Some people are spending a great amount of money for wedding cloths, but we receive our gown for the heavenly wedding for free. Jesus has paid a very high price for them, but we receive them for free.
In chapter 4 in the Letter to the Romans we read about Abraham. He lived long before Jesus became our sacrifice for sins. It still says that Abraham was counted just because he trusted God and he was not just because of his deeds. He got a promise to inherit the world because of his faith. Abraham believed in God even if circumstances testified against him. His wife got pregnant when she was over 90 years old. God kept His promises.
Hebrew 11 speaks a lot about faith. I will write a little from that chapter. I will start with the beginning: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence for things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” This chapter describes many men and women who had faith for miracles. It was not through deeds, but through faith in a mighty God. I think that it is important that we emphasize that it is faith in God. We Christians are often misusing the word faith, and we say that we have faith for this and that, but it has nothing to do with God.
I love to read the psalms of the Bible. Many of them are full of promises. We can think that they are nice, but do we really believe in the words and in the promises? I have quite often contact with people exposed to encroachment or maybe they live under scary circumstances. I recommend them to daily read psalm 91 and to believe that the promises are made for them.
The Word of God is our daily food.
I have a great testimony from my daily reading of psalm 91. I was the leader of 5 employees and 100 patients when we had the swine-flu. I proclaimed psalm 91 over all of us every morning as long as we had the epidemic. No one got sick even if others in the family had it. I will also share another story. Two young women were out travelling and they read psalm 91 in the morning. Later that day there was a huge attack of an explosion where they were. Nothing serious happened to them even if people died around them.
Psalm 91 works!
I myself have experienced miracles when I have been driving. I usually pray before I start a long journey. Once I couldn’t stop the car when I was driving in the winter. It was snowing, but I didn’t realize that ice was under the snow. The car drove into the centre strip. The car was ruined, but nothing happened o me and my friend except for being a little shaky. The insurance guy asked me how long I had been in the hospital since he saw pictures of the ruined car. I said that I had no need of a hospital. He said that you must have had angels with you and I shared my faith in a living God. Another time I got sick and fell asleep several times. The car came over to the other lane, but nothing happened to me nor any other cars. I had cried to God just before this happened.
I live by faith.
We read both in The Old Testament and in the New that we have life and death in the power of our tongue. It is therefore very important to understand what comes out of our mouth. Many are losing blessings because they are proclaiming disbelief. They might be angry at God for not giving them what they think they disserve, but the truth is that they have created disbelief with their mouth.
If we should live by faith, we must speak faith.
SPEAK FAITH!
