THE GREAT COMMISSION.

 

I will start with the last verses in Matthew 28:18. “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. In Mark 16. 15-18 we read: “And Jesus said: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. In Luke 24:47 it says that repentance and the remission of sins should be preached to all nations in the name of Jesus.

Many years ago I had a vision of a long oval table. Many Christians sat around the table with food in front of them. Instead of eating it, they cut the food into small pieces and they started to throw the food on the others. The more they were throwing, the happier the devil got. He stood at the table. I asked the Lord for the meaning of this vision and He said that the food represented the Word of God. He said that they interpreted and interpreted the Word wrongly instead of eating the Word. The same thing is happening today. One is using a lot of time discussing a small detail that is not important. One forgets the fact that we have received a commission.

The different gospels underline different things, but they are not in opposition to each other. We are supposed to proclaim that Jesus came to free us from sin and opened a bloodshed way to the Father. In 1.John 1:9 we read that if we confess our sins, the Lord is just and righteous and will forgive us our sins. This is the good news. Many believe that it is boring to be a Christian thinking that one can’t do anything enjoyable then, but Christianity means the good news. You can get rid of sins that make you heavy and sad. In Nehemiah 8:10 we read that the joy of the Lord is our strength. You must understand that the Lord does not want you to be weak and depressed. I am sure that many sitting in prison would like someone else to be there in their place. The fact is that Jesus has carried the punishment for our sins and He is saying to the accuser: “Release that person, I have paid the price.” We are not allowed to keep this truth to ourselves. That is egoistic.

             LET US PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS DURING 2023   

Many Christians are bound by fear, depression, sicknesses, sins, bad habits and other problems. They do not know how to get help to get free. Some believe that Christians can’t have demonic powers. We cannot have any demonic influence in our spirit, but in our body and soul. Mark 16 is clear about driving out demons. It is the first sign. Why are there so few doing it? I am thinking a lot about that. Is it because of fear or is there a lack of teaching? Some people refer to 2.Corinthians 5:17 saying that we are a new creation and everything has become new. I did not get a new body nor a new soul. It actually says in Philippians 2:12 that we are supposed to work on our soul’s salvation. There is a lot of confusion when it comes to this matter.

Jesus said in Mark 16 that we should speak in other tongues. Some Christians think that speaking in tongues is satanic. The devil can copy most things, but speaking in tongues is originally a gift that God gives to us. We do not need to study to get this heavenly language. My daughters got it when they were four and six years old. I use it as a key, opening up the secrets of the heavenly realm. Jesus says that it is a sign for the believers. Is it only for a few? No, for all believers.

          LET US TEACH IT, ASK FOR IT AND USE IT DURING 2023.

I do not quite understand this with snakes in the hands, but I do understand that we have gotten an authority over them. If it means something spiritually, I have a fight with demons several times a week since I drive them out of people. We are not supposed to drink something poisonous, but if we by accident should do so, it should not kill us.

He who is living in us, is greater than he in the world.

What do you do when you yourself gets sick or somebody else gets sick? Jesus is saying in Mark 16 that we should lay hands on the sick. Is there something mystic with our hands? No, but Jesus has given us power to heal. We are conveying His power. He carried our sicknesses on the cross. (Is.53:4+5) Why do not everybody gets well when we lay hands on them? I really do not know. It

might have to do with my faith or with the faith to the receiver. It might be lack of teaching, person’s sin or spiritual resistance. There might be many other reasons as well. We must not allow the devil to stop us since the commission is clear.

          LAY HANDS ON THE SICK AND THEY SHALL RECOVER.
