PURE AND RIGHTEOUS, WORTHY FOR HEAVEN.

PURE AND RIGHTEOUS, WORTHY FOR HEAVEN.

I have been writing on my website for many years, and I might write about the same theme many times also. How many times haven’t we read the same things in the Bible? There are times when we read it as it was the first time.

We might start with 1.John 5:18. It says that whoever is born of God does not sin, but how do you translate 1. John 1:9 then? There it says that if you sin, you shall confess your sins and He who is faithful and just will forgive you your sins. I have explained earlier that we cannot sin in our new-born nature. We have received the perfect spirit of Jesus. Philippians 2:12 says that we should work on the salvation of our soul. Our soul isn’t saved then. We can also sin with our body. When it says that we should work on our salvation, I think that is the same as sanctification.

It is written in both the letter to the Galatians and the Romans that we should walk in the spirit, in and through The Spirit of God. We know that no one is without sin except for Jesus. In Him we are pure and righteous, worthy for heaven. The spirit and the flesh are in war with each other, but we ought to be led by the Holy Spirit.

Many people identify with their faults and shortcomings, and they do not live in victory if they mainly focus on the things that do not function. If we want to live in victory, we must focus on God and His Word. We are having a sinless part that has direct access to God. The Word says that God speaks from depth to depth. The more we identify with the sinless part of us, the closer we get to the image of Jesus. We call ourselves Christian and that must mean that we want to be Christlike.

We have a song saying: Turn your eyes upon Jesus and the things on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Way. It is in Him we find power and energy, not in our faults and mistakes.

Some people think that everybody comes to heaven because Jesus is called the Saviour of the world. Others think that we do not have to confess our sins, but that isn’t correct according to the Word of God. No, we should confess our sins, and God will forgive our sins. It is also written in the Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. There are unfortunately many who do not believe that, and they are not saved then.

                                    What are you believing?

Some people think that God is unfair because He forgives even a murderer, giving him or her access to heaven. God forgives everybody confessing their sins. This is all due to what Jesus Christ has done for us. He took the punishment for our sins. Are we thankful enough?

He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him.

This is grace. Many people think that they can live according to their own desires since Jesus already has taken care of their sins. That is a wrong way to receive grace. No, we regret the wrong things we did, confess it, repent and thank Him for what He has done for us.

We must remember that we have a sinless part in us, our spirit. We are therefore not forced to sin.

What is sin? The greatest sin is to reject the gift of Jesus. He was the sacrifice for our sins. The Bible is describing many types of sin. If you wonder if something is sinful, you can look at Jesus. Did He do the same thing when He    was on the earth? We are supposed to be followers of Him.

Some people come to me saying that they cannot love neither themselves nor anybody else. I say that those words are lies. If you are a child of God. He has poured His love into our heart. (Romans 5:5) When we use the word pour, it means that we get a lot. We read in 1.John 3:15 that if you hate your brother, you are just as bad as a murderer and a murderer does not have eternal life in them. This statement is quite serious and especially when you think about all the strife going on in churches. We read in the same place that we abide in death if we do not love our sister and brother. We have received love, and we can therefore show love to our sisters and brothers.

I want you to go to Matthew 18. We read there a story about a merciless servant. It was a king, and he had a servant. This servant had not paid his big debts to the king and the king wanted to sell his wife, children and everything he owned. The servant begged the king to spare them. The king showed mercy, and the servant didn’t need to pay anything back. This servant met another servant owing him a small amount of money. He asked to be pardoned, but the servant didn’t want to show mercy. This made the king angry. He himself had been shown great mercy and couldn’t show a little mercy. He threw the first servant in prison. Our heavenly king wants us to show mercy towards each other because we have received so much.

YOU MUST NEVER FORGET THAT YOU ARE PURE AND RIGHTEOUS, WORTHY FOR HEAVEN BECAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST.
