CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING, PART 1.

CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING.

Part 1

I have planned to write about this theme at least four times. That will be like a small seminar. The Lord started to teach me about this theme already in the eighties. I sat with the Bible and The Holy Spirit. He also wanted to teach me about another theme and that was about the devil and all his deeds. That teaching plus many years of experience led me to write two books. The first one I wrote during 2012 and the second one in 2024.

We read in Genesis 1:27 that we are created in the image of God. He created us as man and woman. God is three, God the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit. A human being consists also of three parts, spirit, soul and body. Our newborn spirit is spotless and ready for heaven. If you are a child of God and Jesus should return, your spirit would be ready to meet Him. In Ephesian 2:8 we read that we are saved by grace and not by works. We would otherwise have something to boast about. In Philippians 2:12 we read that we should work on the salvation of our soul. Our soul isn’t saved. In Sweden we have a word for Christian counselling meaning to take care of the soul. Others call working on our soul for sanctification. We are supposed to be more like Jesus. That is my main purpose for counselling. If you feel better, I consider that as a bonus.

Some Christians say that a Christian cannot have any demons. Others are saying that a Christian cannot be possessed. To be possessed means that all of you can be under the influence of a demon or more. Our spirit is born by God, so our spirit cannot have any demonic power, but our soul and body can have demonic powers. Our will, mind, emotions and the subconscious belong to our soul. That is not written clearly in the Bible, but most Bible teachers agree on that. Everybody doesn’t mention the subconscious, but God wanted me to include that and referred to Matthew 7:3. It says: Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but not the plank in your own? The plank makes us blind, and a blind person cannot see.

What is the subconscious? That is all the things that we expel and even neglect from our past experiences. Many times we do this because the experiences are so painful. We are often reacting to a happening today because of things we have experienced in the past. We might not understand why we react the way we do. I have the experience that God is using gifts of the Spirit to reveal the reason. He is often using the gift of knowledge, and I often receive a picture or a word.

Many sicknesses and problems are caused by problems in the soul. We call them psychosomatic diseases. Doctors think that 85-95 percentage of sicknesses are psychosomatic. When The Holy Spirit reveals the root of the problem, it is easier to receive healing. 1.Peter 2:24 says that we are healed by the stripes of Jesus. He took our sickness with Him on the Cross.

Why do we get wounds and problems in our soul? This question has so many answers that it could fill an entire book. I will shorten it quite a bit, but I still have to give you a list of reasons.

Do you believe that a baby is born spotless when it comes out of the stomach of the mother? No, the baby carries inherited sicknesses both from his mother and father. There might be inherited curses running in the families and the baby is borne with the influence of them. All sicknesses are not inheritable, but many are, both physical and mental ones. I have met couples avoiding to get children because of inheritable diseases in the family. They haven’t had faith in God for braking inheritable curses in the family according to 1.Peter 1:18. What do I mean by using the word cursing? I do not necessarily think about black magic, but I see certain negative trends in the family. One example is poverty. I have broken that over many people. Another trend is autism. That can give many different disorders in the brain. If a family has many divorces, I brake a curse of division. I cannot deliver every person in the family, but the curse is broken and will not continue to the next generation. I have also seen a death-drake over certain families, and I have commanded them to leave the family.

Some children grow up in families with a lot of religion. They receive wrong pictures of God, and they will often think that Christianity is something like a burden instead of a well of daily life and joy. Some of these will turn their backs to Christianity and go into the world.

Some come to me with fears and anxiety. Many of those are saying that their mother or father had the same problem. Other experience rejection and refer to rejection way back in the family.

There are a multitude of curses that might influence a family. Ask The Holy Spirit to show you the ones in your family, and command them to leave in the name of Jesus. He broke their power on the Cross. He even disarmed the devil according to Colossians 2:14+15.

NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR THE LORD.
