HEALTHY AND UNHEALTHY BOUNDARIES.

HEALTHY AND UNHEALTHY BOUNDARIES.   I will start by going to 1. Corinthians 14:33. It says that God is not an author of confusion, but of peace. Another translation says that God is a God of order. If you are in a place of chaos, you know that the devil has some influence there. A Christian man that I know recently refused a job that he was offered because he heard that it was chaos in the place. The Bible says that God is love and that we should walk in love. Some people would like to ... (read more)

YES WE LOVE THIS COUNTRY!

YES, WE LOVE THIS COUNTRY.   Today I will write to you as a Norwegian, but the ideas I write about are relevant for all countries no matter where you live. The headline is taken from the first words in our Norwegian national anthem. How often do we use the word love? We might use it for our partner and our children, but how often do we use it when it comes to our country? I love our national anthem, and I might be moved to tears when I hear it. I believe that I have many good memories from ... (read more)

GIVE TO CAESAR WHAT BELONGS TO CAESAR.

GIVE TO CAESAR WHAT BELONGS TO CAESAR!   It isn`t so often that I write about money and the economical aspect of one’s Christian life, but today I want to do that. In Norway and Sweden one must send the yearly income-document to the Tax Inspectorate around the first of May. I sent both to Norway and Sweden yesterday because I tax to both countries. I receive pension from Norway, but I live in Sweden and receive the same rights in Sweden as a Swede. When I was doing this, I remembered ... (read more)

EASTER MORNING QUENCHES THE GRIEF

EASTER MORNING QUENCHES THE GRIEF. Part1   This is the beginning of an Easter psalm in Norway. It continues to say that Easter morning quenches the grief for eternity. Easter morning has given us light and life, light and life in the early morning. The Rescuer is risen, is risen in the morning. Hell is crying, but heaven rejoices. Heaven rejoices with a new worship-song. The Rescuer is risen, is risen in the morning. It is not so easy to translate a song, but this is the content of the two ... (read more)

DO YOU TRUST YOUR EARTHLY FATHER?

DO YOU TRUST YOUR EARTHLY FATHER?   I have several times written about our relationship to our earthly father and I will surely do it again. Why? Because our relationship to God is partly dependent on our relationship to our earthly father. I also get new readers that haven’t thought so much about this connection. When I look up a Bible-dictionary, I could read page after page about faith. Many books are also written about faith. I could also have written a book about faith. We know that ... (read more)

YOU WILL GET A DAY TOMORROW, CLEAN AND NOT USED!

YOU WILL GET A DAY TOMORROW, CLEAN AND NOT USED!   I should have written about this last time, but you can as well apply it for today. I celebrated New Year together with some dear friends of mine and we had a long time of praying at the end of the evening. During the praying, I was reminded of a song written by a Norwegian songwriter a long time ago. His name is Alf Prøysen, and he is dead for many years. It is a little difficult to translate it because he used a dialect, but the content ... (read more)
